Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing For Bloggers: Make Money Online Now

Blogging as an affiliate marketer is a method of making money by publishing article posts with affiliate links about a specific subject to provide valuable insights to the blog reader.

If the reader decides to open the affiliate link and purchase the product or service, you get a sale.

This sale is known as affiliate commission payout. Usually the advertiser pays a flat fee per sale or a percentage of the sale, like 10%, 20% or even 30% of the original sale.

As you know the higher the ticket sale, the higher the affiliate payout commission check you’ll receive, typically.

Many people who are starving to make money online have seen the potential of writing blog posts to start earning money online and lot’s of them like to do “review products” specifically on supplements.

Depending on what supplements company you apply for, they will have an option for the customer you referred to sign up for a monthly subscription.

This means as long as the customer stays subscribed with the company, you’ll be earning a payout commission check monthly from this customer since you were the one to introduce him to the company's supplements until he decides to unsubscribe.

Blogging can be done anywhere as long as you have a laptop such as working from home, at a Starbucks lobby (like I am right now, writing this awesome blog) or at the beach with a few margaritas drinks.

Blogging is one of my favorite methods to promote products and services to get paid as an affiliate marketer. The more blog posts one keeps publishing on a weekly basis, usually the more money you’ll make online.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a very popular way of making money online, with all sorts of people from bloggers to small-scale entrepreneurs to video marketers making money from it.

Promote a product or service and if the customer buys it, you earn a commission payout.

Affiliates are often given pages, posts, banners, videos or images that advertise goods and services from their company's partners.

These partners have already figured out what messages and creative works are the best for their offers and share this information for two reasons

The first reason is almost every affiliate marketer has an audience they’ve build from the ground up by providing: strategies and tactics to gain small wins, building authenticity and trust through Facebook live, offering free advice, sharing exclusive

content, etc., and partners want to tap into a field they cannot reach by allowing us to partner up with them as affiliate marketers so we can get paid for every sale we make through our audience.

The second reason is to not spend so much on paid advertisements such as Google AdWords, Facebook Ads or even on Native Ads.

This is why the companies allow us to partner with them and take manners on our own hands so we can get paid through affiliate sales.

To summarize affiliate marketing, find a niche market to offer products and services that is relevant to your ideal audience to gain small and large wins instead of offering something irrelevant.

Audiences are real people and people can sniff out when someone is trying to make a quick buck out of them so make sure you only offer services and products that you believe in and resonate with the audience you’ve built.

What To Sell As An Affiliate Marketer On A Blog?

Now, selling products and services on a blog is a difficult task due to the lack of tangible items. Along with that, blog readers are very cautious about clicking on links, making it difficult to drive traffic to your affiliate page.

This is what makes blogging such an interesting marketing tool. You can provide valuable information about your product without having to worry about selling it directly.

Blogging also provides you with an opportunity for backlinks and social media exposure.

Again, it is important to consider what the audience wants, what your personal skill-set is, and your target audience when deciding on a topic to blog about.

In my case, I write about Facebook marketing, Messenger marketing, Groove.cm & affiliate marketing.

I create content around this to attract new and intermediate entrepreneurs and businesses who want to boost their leads and sales using these blog posts marketing tool resources.

The second option would be contacting me directly by scheduling a calendar appointment to help them generate traffic and sales.

Here are examples of marketing tools (affiliate programs) you can sign up for to increase your goals or you can also target a specific audience to sell through educational information like this blog post:

Messenger Marketing

The platform I use is Chatmatic for messenger marketing with chatbots.

Messenger is on more than 1.8Billion phones. Making it the second most downloaded and used app on the planet (behind only Facebook).

At first Facebook was mainly used to communicate with our friends, but it now is being used to discuss purchase decisions with businesses.

In today's world we are becoming accustomed to instant results, and that is true of reaching businesses. If we have a question for a business we want to be able to get that answer INSTANTLY.

Imagine being able to reach a customer in an app that they use DAILY to communicate your offerings without the same “noise” that comes with sending emails.

It’s this idea that has lead to Messenger having an astonishing 85% average open rate more than 3x that of email marketingBy Travis Stephenson CEO of Chatmatic

The best thing I love about Chatmatic is that you can automate and guide the conversation with every customer engagement, follow-up with them and take them from point A to point B without pushing for the sale.

Easy to capture customer information (with their consent), provide them useful information but most of all, build and establish a new relationship with my new future prospects.

Mobile Marketing

Mobile marketing is the process of attracting customers by promoting products and services to a target audience on the go.

Usually I like to focus on small businesses and entrepreneurs to offer this marketing tool as an asset to get leads and close sales on the customer’s tablet or phone.

My favorite way of communication as well as all the other 22apps users would be the “push notification”.

Every time you release new content: podcast, blog post, video live post or even an exclusive offer, it has a 100% delivery rate which means everyone who has your app will receive this notification to check out what you send.

Video Marketing

Video marketing is the process of using video to engage customers and other audiences. The most popular types of video marketing are product demonstration, testimonial, live action, animation and whiteboard animation.

Video marketing relies on visual communication, with the audience using sight and sound to get information. YouTube is the second largest search engine and a leader in video marketing, thanks to its vast reach and versatility.

VidIQ is a tool I use and it's designed to help you boost your videos on Youtube first pages by providing information about the niche you're trying to rank for: data analytics, organic research, trends alerts, thumbnail generator, channel audit, etc.

The best thing about Youtube, it’s owned by google so if a user types in keywords you used on your Youtube videos title, description and meta data.

There is a possibility your video may appear on the user’s Google page so the user can click on the video and watch it thanks to SEO.

Is Blogging Going To Be Around Forever?

There are over 1 billion websites world wide and maybe over half of those websites have a blog site and maybe half of that half have an active writing blog site. Now, this is my thesis but maybe half of the last half uses search engine optimization.

Blogging is one of the most cost-effective ways to promote a business online. You can create a blog and post content on it with minimal costs and you can use social media platforms to promote the blog.

Bloggers are also using social media marketing to broadcast on Facebook Live, IG Reels, and Tiktok to redirect their audience to their blog posts as well as asking their audience to share their message with others if they found the topic useful.

As long as Google, Yahoo and Bing are around, I believe that the blogging industry is going to stay and live here for a very long time.

3 Mistakes To Avoid As A New Blogger

Some of the mistakes that bloggers make are not having an original concept, not knowing their audience, and lack of familiarity with social media platforms.

Blogging is a great way to earn income and express your creativity. However, there are some mistakes that you may make on your journey to blog success.

These mistakes can be avoided by having a clear idea of what you want to blog about and who your target audience is. Here are 3 quick examples to avoid as a new blogger:

Not Building An Email List

An email list is the most vital thing for every business, from large corporations to small businesses and even for entrepreneurs and affiliate marketers. A list determines how much you pay yourself every month.

The rule of thumb is that you can make $1 per email on your list. This is the average across multiple markets who have their own email list.

Having a lead capture form on your blogging website is a must to grow financially as well as to provide useful information to the blog readers so they can go from point A to point B.

A business without an email list is very hard to grow.

Not Using SEO

Like I mentioned earlier, search engine optimization plays a huge role when it comes to publishing your blog on the internet.

If you want people to find your blog post, you must add metadata, keywords people are searching for and selecting a target audience to write for.

With no SEO it is going to be very hard and difficult for blog readers to find your article on the internet.

Not Having A Strong Headline

The headline is what gets people to click on a link and read or share it. Even if you have a very good SEO, without an enticing headline most people are just going to skip your blog post article.

There are copywriting formulas and books to capture people’s attention when reading and scanning through pages like Google, Quora or even Tumblr.

Is Making Money Online Easy For A Blogger?

Blogging is a business, just like any other. It takes time for blogs to become profitable. The most important thing is persistence.

Bloggers should keep working on their blogs, even if it doesn't seem like anything is happening at first (it’s frustrating at first but it’s well worth it in the long-term).

Speaking from personal experience it takes about 20 blog posts to start getting attraction on your blog site and a few more to start generating small little wins. Once you pass this bridge, making money online will start rolling in every month passively.

Working from home is the ideal dream for anyone who wants to quit their 9-5 job but it does require constant motivation and a disciplined routine to keep on writing specific blog posts for the type of audience you want to attract to later convert to a buyer.

If you still work a 9-5 job don’t quit, keep doing it and work on your blog post 2hrs everyday and all day on your days off. Within a year you’ll start seeing amazing results to the point where you can make this your full time income and more.

Making money online at the beginning is not as easy but as soon as you get the snowball effect rolling, you’d be happy you started doing this. You can even hire people to write for you as you focus on other things inside your business too.
